Why Powerwall 3 vs other batteries
Powerwall 3 is the only mainstream home battery that includes a 11.5kW solar inverter built in — meaning a new solar + battery install needs just one wall-mounted unit instead of separate inverter + battery cabinet. The continuous discharge of 11.5kW is higher than competitor batteries (typically 5-8kW), so it can run a heat pump, an electric shower, an EV charger and the rest of the house simultaneously in a backup scenario.
What's included in our install
Powerwall 3 hardware (13.5kWh, 11.5kW). Wall-mount kit (indoor or outdoor — IP67 rated). Gateway 3 (for whole-home EPS). Tesla app commissioning. DNO G99 notification. AC isolators. Optional changeover switch for whole-home backup. 10-year manufacturer warranty registered. MCS battery certificate (qualifies for 0% VAT until 31 March 2027).
