This Solihull property presented an ideal opportunity for a substantial solar installation. With a large south-facing roof and high energy consumption, the Johnson family were spending over £2,200 annually on electricity alone.\n\nWe installed 14 high-efficiency 440W all-black panels, giving a total system capacity of 6.2kWp. Combined with a 14.4kWh battery system, the family can now store excess daytime generation for evening use.\n\nThe results have exceeded expectations. In the first six months, the system generated over 3,500kWh - enough to cover 85% of the household's needs. The battery captures surplus energy that would otherwise be exported, maximizing self-consumption.
