Foxstar is the value option in our inverter lineup. We use it where the install brief is "MCS-compliant solar at minimum capital cost" — landlord retrofits, housing-association programmes, cost-led owner-occupier installs where a premium inverter brand doesn't move the needle on payback.
The hardware is straightforward — single-phase string inverters in the 1-5kW range, fewer features than Solis or SolaX, but reliable and warranty-backed.
For most new installs we recommend Solis as the value-tier (better features for similar cost). Foxstar wins only where the entry-price difference of £150-£250 matters.
Pricing
Inverter only £350-£800. Installed as part of full system, £6,300-£8,500 (4kW system).

All package prices assume every panel fits on a single roof elevation. The price covers the cost of scaffolding to one elevation. If your roof needs scaffolding on more than one elevation, or has restricted access, that additional cost is quoted separately after survey. Prices include VAT. Domestic solar and battery storage is zero-rated for VAT until 31 March 2027. Subject to a free technical survey. We will confirm the final price in writing before any work is booked.
